HEADMISTRESSMadame Elaine Erskine Madame Elaine Erskine was born in Southern France to a set of full blooded wizard parents. Her mother and father were both professors at Beauxbatons [as were their parents] and so it was almost expected if not inevitable that she would one day follow in their footsteps. After teaching Potions for nearly thirty years, she was appointed to Headmistress when Madame Maxime resigned in 2000. Madame Erskine prides herself in being fair and even tempered and places value on tradition and propriety. |
ANCIENT RUNESProfessor Sylvianne Faucet In certain instances, looks can be deceiving. However, that is not the case with Professor Sylvianne Faucet. She is just as unpleasant as she looks to be. Her classes are held in the strictest of manners, allowing no room for any mishaps or surprises. She covers the material quite thoroughly and at a steady pace. Students are expected to do everything necessary to keep up. Things seldom get past Faucet and she rarely lets anything slide, unless of course you happen to be her rare favorite. |
ARITHMANCYProfessor Adrien Napier Head of Fortescue Professor Adrien Napier isn't a mystery. But he does typically keep quiet as it's not unusual that he's lost in his own thoughts and calculations. But the possibility of solving a good puzzle and getting others excited in the logic behind things gets him talking. Though it may take a few times around for his explanations to make sense, he knows the material through and through. Napier is generally laid back and encourages his students to find and utilize methods that help them learn the material in the best way. |
ASTRONOMYProfessor Solange Rousseau It's true. Professor Solange Rousseau as been described as a bit kooky and perhaps even eerie. But that easily could be attributed to her unconventional schedule. Being up at late hours of the night gives her the reputation of a lurker, however she rightly defends that it makes perfect sense as an astronomer. With that noted, it's not unusual that she may seem a bit 'off' during her daytime classes. Rousseau is also known to have a very relaxed class and somehow things just seem to get past her without her ever finding out. |
CARE OF MAGICAL CREATURESProfessor Nadine Westcott Head of Ballentine Though Professor Nadine Westcott looks young and acts so, she is not new to the Beauxbatons teaching staff. Being in her fifth year as a professor, she was overwhelmed to be appointed to Head of Ballentine this year and plans to fully prove herself. Her classes are very laid back and she tries her hardest to involve everyone. In her effort to keep her students happy, interested and agreeable she often becomes quite the pushover, allowing them to get away with things they probably shouldn't. |
CHARMSProfessor Joel Montague An alumni from the Garnier house, Professor Joel Montague is a very eloguent and well spoken man. He prides himself on these qualities, and attributes them to most of his success with charmwork. He can, at times, be a perfectionist, but he is also easy going and willing to work with his students until they get desired results. Montague is also known for his accepting nature and is a favorite among the outed homosexual students, because of his mentoring and his openess about his own relationship with Professor Aldrige. |
DEFENSE AGAINST THE DARK ARTSProfessor Degare Martin Head of Chevalier Good fortune was never something that Professor Degare Martin has ever been able to boast. He has seen plenty of hard times and has had to become 'street smart' in order to survive. These circumstances have made him more adept at handling the more precarious of ones. Because of his innate abilities and his work as an auror for France's Ministry of Magic, Martin is more than capable of giving the students realistic methods for defending themselves against the Dark Arts. |
DIVINATIONProfessor Ginette Provoost Head of Devereaux Professor Ginette Provoost is one of France's most accurate and efficient seers. Her stoic demeanor is not quite kid friendly but her abilities are just too honed to let her escape the school as their Divination professor. She has a very mature and direct approach in dealing with her students, and does not accept anything less than perfection from them. She is not gentle. She is honest and blunt and believes the truth is more helpful than sugarcoating information. |
FLYINGProfessor Thibault Stacy Professor Thibault Stacy has always loved flying. Even when he was a student at Beauxbatons, not so long ago, he was one of the best that the school had ever seen. Though he was offered a position on one of France's professional Quidditch teams, Stacy knew that he was too social and too attached to the school to want to leave. So he decided to stay and teach flying and ref Quidditch matches. Being relatively young, he still relates well to the students and remains one of the favorite professors. |
HERBOLOGYProfessor Noemie Cleary Professor Noemie Cleary grew up in a modest household in the French countryside. Her parents were muggles but they embraced her powers and were proud of her when she got her letter to attend Beauxbatons. After leaving the academy, Cleary spent time with different research groups, learning and working with rare magical plants. She returned to Beauxbatons in her late twenties to teach a very hands on class of Herbology. |
HISTORY OF MAGICProfessor Paulette Staats Professor Paulette Staats has managed to take a typically dull subject and turn it into something exciting. Her creative and unconventional teaching methods have managed to make her classes be described as fun. She believes that the physical classroom is not always the best place to learn and enjoys planning field trips for her students. She is kind and patient and generally laid back, giving her classes an easy going yet productive atmosphere. |
MUGGLE STUDIESProfessor Gervase Aldridge Professor Gervase Aldridge was born to a full blooded father and a muggle mother. He has always been equally intrigued and involved in both worlds. Though his magical ability would always push him toward the wizarding world in the end. Wanting to shed some light on certain misunderstood habits and pracitices of muggles, Aldridge found his calling and decided to use his first hand knowledge to help educate others. Though he is stoic in appearance, he is a typically laid back man. But he will not tolerant any sort of intolerance, in the least. |
POTIONSProfessor Delphine Collier Head of Garnier Even in her school days, Professor Delphine Collier has always been the epitome of all that is Garnier. She is eloquent, graceful, charming, and not to mention half Veela. She doesn't pick favorites and she has never been seen reprimanding her students. Students also know that if you want good marks in her class then you will also concern yourself with presentation, as she is quite concerned with not only how the potion works but that it looks accurate as well. |
TRANSFIGURATIONProfessor Armand Van Ostrand Professor Armand Van Ostrand is not exactly approachable. He's not exactly warm or understanding in the least, either. And he likes his reputation of being cold. He is all business. His job is to educate students that will go on to produce outstanding marks in the course. His expectations are high and he doesn't accept anyone falling behind. Van Ostrand appreciates accuracy and a very clean, concise and to the point approach. Any student able to comply will go far in his class. |

NURSEMadame Michelle Loury Madame Michelle Loury was the eldest of seven Loury children. She was just about thirteen when her father passed away and it was inevitable that she would be expected to help take care of the younger children. The motherly instinct that was brought out during those times never left her. And so it was no shock to anyone that knew her to find out that she would pursue a career in healing. She treats every student like they were her own, catering to them and their injuries with care, empathethy and fast acting remedies. |
LIBRARIANMadame Reine Reichard Soft spoken, ridiculously anal about the card catalog and completely unaware of her appearance, Madame Reine Reichard is everything a librarian should be. She loves books more than children and probably treats them better though she's not a particularly harsh woman by any means. It is rather easy to get away with things in the library simply because Madame Reichard allows herself to get carried away with her books all too often. She is a stickler for noise policies though. |
GROUNDS KEEPERUrbain Tichbourne Some may look at grounds keeper's job as something rather undesirable. But not Urbain Tichbourne. He has always enjoyed being outdoors and the reward of seeing the culmination of hard work. It may seem like he is a bit rough around the edges, but he has a good heart and generally doesn't mind helping out the students when he as the time for it. Usually busy, he oversees any work that needs to be done to the castles and the gardens as well as the boat house. |
